Live Sports in Bangladesh 2026: Free Streams & BST Times

Sports Affairs BD is a Bangladesh-first sports site. We convert every fixture and every kick-off time to Bangladesh Standard Time before you read it. Have you ever missed a match because the schedule was printed in UK time? This site exists to fix that.

We cover cricket and football first. Tennis and basketball come next. Behind every page sits one practical question: how do you actually follow live sports in Bangladesh, on TV, on the web, and on your phone?

Quick answer: there are three routes to live sports in Bangladesh. Free-to-air TV covers T Sports, BTV and Gazi TV. Paid streaming means Star Sports, the JioStar app, and Sony LIV. Mobile apps include Toffee, Rabbithole and Bioscope. Which one you need depends on the competition. Our guide to watching cricket live in Bangladesh maps each tournament to the platform that carries it.

Four pages do most of the work on this site. They are the backbone of our live sports in Bangladesh coverage. If you bookmark only a few links, make it these:

Our match centre tracks all of these. It is the busiest page we run for live sports in Bangladesh. It lists live, today’s and upcoming fixtures with the broadcaster attached. It answers the most common question about live sports in Bangladesh: is this on tonight, and on what channel?

Cricket: The Tigers

Cricket is why most readers come here. It is still the biggest driver of live sports in Bangladesh. September is the month that matters.

Bangladesh host India for three ODIs on 1, 3 and 6 September. Three T20Is follow on 9, 12 and 13 September. It is the first bilateral T20I series between the two sides ever played in Bangladesh. Expect it to dominate live sports in Bangladesh for two weeks. A harder tour follows. Bangladesh visit South Africa from 15 November to 13 December for two Tests and six white-ball games. Full fixtures sit on the Bangladesh cricket schedule page.

Bangladesh now use split captaincy. Najmul Hossain Shanto leads the Test side. Litton Das took over both white-ball captaincies from Mehidy Hasan Miraz on 30 July 2026. Phil Simmons remains head coach. Knowing who leads matters when you follow live sports in Bangladesh. Our Bangladesh cricket squad hub updates each time the BCB confirms a new squad.

We also cover the BPL, the IPL, the PSL and ICC tournaments, including the road to the 2027 ODI World Cup. The BPL’s twelfth season ran from 26 December 2025 to 23 January 2026. The thirteenth is expected in the same window. Recent reading: Bangladesh’s historic win in Darwin and the second Test against Australia. More sits in Cricket and Cricket News.

Bangladesh Women: Asia Cup and Asian Games

Most Bangladeshi sports sites ignore women’s cricket. That makes it the most overlooked corner of live sports in Bangladesh, and it is busy right now. The 2026 Women’s T20 Asia Cup runs from 28 August to 13 September. Every match is at Dubai International Stadium. Bangladesh are in Group B with hosts UAE, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

DateOpponentVenue
31 August 2026IndonesiaDubai International Stadium
6 September 2026Sri LankaDubai International Stadium
8 September 2026United Arab EmiratesDubai International Stadium

Nigar Sultana Joty captains the side. Spinner Nahida Akter is vice-captain. Marufa Akter, Rabeya Khan and Fahima Khatun are also in the 15-player squad. The final is on 13 September. We will cover it like any other live sports in Bangladesh fixture.

An Asian Games medal shot follows. Cricket returns to the Asian Games in Aichi, Japan, played as T20 at Korogi Athletic Park. The women’s event runs 17 to 22 September. The men’s runs 24 September to 3 October. The BCB named both squads together, so much of the same group travels straight from Dubai to Japan.

Football: Cabrera, Hamza and the SAFF Championship

Bangladesh’s football side is in its most interesting phase in a generation. Javier Cabrera is now the longest-serving head coach in the team’s history. The squad has been rebuilt around diaspora players. Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury is the best known. Shamit Shome, Zayyan Ahmed and Fahamedul Islam have also joined.

The 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifying campaign ended in disappointment. Bangladesh finished third in the group and did not qualify. But it produced a result the country had waited 22 years for: a 1-0 win over India. Bangladesh sit 181st in the FIFA rankings.

The next assignment is at home. The SAFF Championship 2026 brings South Asia’s national teams to Dhaka from 4 to 17 November. It is the one tournament of the year where Bangladesh are not the away side. For many fans it will be the highlight of live sports in Bangladesh this year. Will Hamza Choudhury be released by his club? That question will dominate Bangladeshi football this autumn.

Club Football: Premier League and Champions League

The 2026 World Cup drew a clean line under the year. Spain beat Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the final on 19 July at MetLife Stadium. Ferran Torres scored in the 106th minute. It was Spain’s second title. Attention has now shifted back to club football, which fills most weekends of live sports in Bangladesh.

The Premier League 2026/27 began on 21 August 2026. Champions Arsenal opened at home to Coventry City. It is the busiest league on the live sports in Bangladesh calendar. The Golden Boot race is already worth tracking. The Champions League league phase and La Liga run alongside it. Together these three account for most weekend viewing among fans of live sports in Bangladesh.

For transfers, rankings and player debates, see Football, Football News and Football Players. Our goalkeeper rankings and Ballon d’Or 2026 analysis are good places to start.

How to Watch Live Sports in Bangladesh

Access is the real barrier for live sports in Bangladesh, not information. Rights are split across broadcasters. Some apps geo-block. Free options appear and vanish. The most useful approach is to start from the competition you want. Here is that mapping for live sports in Bangladesh:

CompetitionWhere to watchFree?
Bangladesh home internationalsT Sports, Gazi TVYes, free to air
Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)T Sports, Rabbithole, ToffeeYes, with free app tiers
Premier League 2026/27Star Sports, JioStar appNo, subscription
UEFA Champions LeagueSony network, Sony LIVNo, subscription
Indian Premier LeagueStar Sports, JioStarNo, subscription
SAFF Championship 2026Expected on T SportsRights not yet confirmed

T Sports: the default answer

One channel matters more than any other here. T Sports launched in November 2020 under Bashundhara Group. It was Bangladesh’s first dedicated sports channel. It carries the national team’s home series, the BPL in both cricket and football, and the Lanka Premier League. It is free to air on cable and on Akash DTH channel 145. The T Sports app streams the same feed on Android and Android TV. That makes it the cheapest reliable route to live sports in Bangladesh. No other channel comes close on price.

Which route should you pay for? It depends on what you watch. A reader who follows only the Tigers rarely needs a subscription. A reader who follows the Premier League every weekend does. Our streaming guide compares them in full, and our Watch From Bangladesh guides go competition by competition.

Match Timings in BST – and the BST Trap

Here is the most useful thing to know about live sports in Bangladesh. BST means two different things. In British listings it is British Summer Time (UTC+1). Here it is Bangladesh Standard Time (UTC+6). A match listed as “5:00 PM BST” by a UK site actually starts at 10:00 PM in Dhaka. That five-hour gap makes many schedules read wrong from Bangladesh. It is why we convert every time we publish. Correct timings are the whole point of tracking live sports in Bangladesh.

CompetitionLocal kick-offIn Bangladesh (BST)
Premier League, early game12:30 UK5:30 PM
Premier League, afternoon15:00 UK8:00 PM
Premier League, evening17:30 UK10:30 PM
Champions League, La Liga21:00 CEST1:00 AM, next day
Indian Premier League19:30 IST8:00 PM
Bangladesh T20I in South Africa18:00 SAST10:00 PM
BPL in DhakaLocalNo conversion needed

One seasonal catch. On 25 October 2026, Britain and Europe put their clocks back an hour. Bangladesh stays on UTC+6 all year. From that date, every European kick-off above lands one hour later in Dhaka. A 15:00 UK game becomes 9:00 PM, not 8:00 PM. Our Match Timing (BST) guides track those shifts, and the wider Guides section covers the rest.

Players, Leagues and Matches

We also keep reference pages you can return to between fixtures. They are the slower half of covering live sports in Bangladesh. Player profiles collect career numbers for names like Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah.

League pages do the same for competitions, from the English Premier League to the BPL. Our match centre ties them together. Together they form our reference layer for live sports in Bangladesh. We also cover tennis and basketball.

Who Writes This

A small editorial team based in Bangladesh runs Sports Affairs BD and its live sports in Bangladesh coverage. We write for readers in our own time zone. That is the whole premise. We watch the same broadcasts, on the same platforms, at the same awkward hours. So our guides to live sports in Bangladesh are checked against what actually works here, not copied from an international listing. Accuracy is what makes a live sports in Bangladesh guide worth reading. We source fixtures from the BCB, the ICC, SAFF and the BFF. When a squad or broadcast deal is not confirmed, we say so. More detail sits in how Sports Affairs BD works.
